Job Descriptions :
1. Develop and implement voter registration strategies, rules and procedures to ensure successful elections in Pakistan.
2. Establish electoral constituencies according to applicable laws and regulations.
3. Ensure accuracy of all voting materials, ballots and voter lists used during the election process.
4. Train polling station officers, staff and volunteers on necessary guidelines related to election operations.
5. Manage campaigns that involve mobilizing voters to go out to the polls and make sure their votes are counted accurately.
6. Investigate potential election fraud cases before, during and after an election cycle.
7. Assist in voter outreach efforts by attending community events, speaking at schools and conducting voter education workshops as required by law.
8. Prepare post-election reports that summarize overall performance of the Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
9. Review budget proposals from subordinate staff to ensure sufficient resources are allocated for efficient execution of activities in accordance with relevant laws/regulations and other statutory requirements; manage approved budgets for personnel costs, supplies etc.; prepare budget justifications based on expected return from investment in the electoral process
10. Provide timely advice regarding administrative policies or operational procedures concerning electoral operations, including appointment of officials and management of personnel assigned to conduct elections; review existing systems/procedures periodically to assess strengths/weaknesses, recommending changes as appropriate; oversee the design of effective communication strategies aimed at stakeholders in various capacities
11 Monitor national & international media developments/trends related to elections in order to provide current/timely input on best practices & standards that could enhance integrity & effectiveness; recommend revisions as required in line with national/international requirements
12 Coordinate meetings & negotiations between different stakeholders including politicians & representatives of civil society organizations; maintain contact with both domestic & foreign contacts concerning electoral processes; plan visits abroad for briefing political & international partners about elections’ preparations
